Cool truck I saw today.
This was parked next to me when I came out of the ACE hardware store today. I waited a couple of minutes to talk to the owner, but it was too hot and I was melting.

It says Hudson on the tailgate. IDK what year it is, though.

Either a 1946 or 1947. They returned to making automobiles late in 1945 after the war. The 48+ trucks look entirely different.

It's kind of a small truck. Its not as tall as of that era of trucks, it was more like a car. I actually thought it was a car when i was coming out the store. cool little Hudson truck, can't say I've ever seen one of these before.

Don't quote me on this, but I believe that the Hudson 3/4 ton trucks shared front sheetmetal with the cars. Kind of like an El Camino of the 1940's. If you look at it right, even the doors look like a close match. This would make sense due to high production demands & short supply at the time.
