kinda an odd question but the red white and blue strip that you see with a lot of gm stuff, whats the meaning behind it ?. is it just saying its made in the good ole USA or what bc I see it with a lot of other car related stuff from back in the day even seen it behind a mustang emblem.

It's a Camaro thing for sure (among others). The emblems, horn buttons in early/mid 70's Camaros had lots of little things like that. I think it had alot to do with the fact that they were made in the US and the bicentennial was happening in '76.

I remember some non GM cars had that kind of striping back then too like Mustang II's & I think the Aspen/Road Runner (mid-late 70's) was another one.

I believe they are all 76 models for the Spirit of 76 Bicentennial! Just like the 76 quarters celebrating 200 years of the good ol US of A.

I remember going to a BIG @$$ parade & spectacular fireworks show on 7/4/76. Still a very vivid memory of American Pride. The night sky light up like day time for what seemed like forever. Good times, LOL
