Sorry, didn't mean to hijack this thread.

I just wanted to point out that new GM heads assembled are pretty inexpensive in comparison to other upgrades.

Yes, other parts will be required for installation and your experience will vary.

Alleyball- you did good.

We have a "scattered" base of quality builders up here and most charge like they know that. Go figure Very Happy

I took a somewhat conservative route both in terms of what was spent & so I don't kill myself. I'm only @ a 4.06 bore & 9.25:1 with flat top hyper's. It's going to run @ 350 horse but I'm hoping that the torque it'll make will make up for it somewhat (slightly over 400 ft lbs).

I do need a new converter as the factory stall speed is just 1750 on the one I have now (LMAO)& the motor needs like 2500. The cam I got (also comp cams) will spin to 5600 & peak torque is at 3800 rpm so I'm hoping it will at least get up and go quick and spin tires. Very Happy
