All those look better than nascars today. Not only are they "real" cars but they are all painted differently and unique, not all the stickers the same and in the same location. WHY ARE THEY STILL CALLED STOCK CARS? The drivers themselves were cooler then to, bad a$$s not a bunch of preppy gq types.

That's because it's when men were men. They haven't been "factory stock" since the G body cars I think. I used to watch it all the time when I was little & a teenager, not so much now.

Even the truck series which could be somewhat "stock" isn't (wasn't'?) Idk is the truck series even still exists.

Yeah, the trucks are going strong, but there is nothing stock about them. I have gotten to where I like the lesser series as much as the Sprint series. JB

Anyone else remember Janet Guthrie? I was a youngin' then but there was even a bigger buzz about her then when Danica got in to Sprint. Janet didn't wreck near as much. She also did Formula 1 & Trans-Am.

Yes sir, I remember her she was the FIRST woman to qualify and run in both the Daytona 500 and the Indy 500, Brings back some good memories for sure !

Agree 100% I have a dvd of all the mid 70's races and love watching it. So different from the drivers and cars today. I stopped watching nascar in 2000. Too much has changed for the worse in my opinion.

Looks like a current day figure 8 race at lake county speedway..... I really don't like how many g3's are still running circle track.....come one people run a Thunderbird or a Chrysler 300 already.
