Bringing the Fam to the Sox/Yankee's game tomorrow night. I'll be thinking of you when we win.

Re: Muscle Car review magazine
I'm sure those editors get lots of bad mail. Some of them are supposedly experts on cars, but reading what they do & think on some projects verifies that they don't know poop from potatos.
Hot Rod Magazine has an editor like that. And all they talk about these days are the high-buck stuff that the average hot rodder could never afford to fool with.
Not gonna renew my subscription with those guys. They are really beginning to suck...

Re: Muscle Car review magazine
I subscribed to hotrod for a year and most everything in it was about hotrod magazine history and cars that I could never dream of affording. They did have a few articles that were helpful, but I switched my subscription to superchevy. So far I am liking it better.

Re: Muscle Car review magazine
Hot Rod has the least amount of tech (both quantity and quality), and they take the approach that everyone has a spare $10,000 to spend. The only time I ever pick up one of their rags is when I'm stuck in an airport and my only other choices are dentist-office crap like Car & Driver or Motor Trend.
Super Chevy is better, but they just keep rehashing the same stuff for the same 64-72 Chevelles, 68-69 Camaros, and Tri-Fives over and over.
The only printed mags worth buying these days are Car Craft, Street Rodder, and Hemmings.

Re: Muscle Car review magazine
Chevy hi performance has good tech stuff, but also is stuck in the '67/'73 camaro, '63/'72 nova, '55/'57 Chevy rut as far as features go.

Re: Muscle Car review magazine
Having our prized cars diss'ed in a popular magazine doesn't bother me. What bothers me is why there are so many cookie cutter people in the hot rodding/modding/resto world. Didn't Hot Rodding begin with people wanting something unique, fast and personal? those people are mostly gone, replaced with wannabe copycats and filthy rich hot rodders who don't even own their own toolbox. There are a few of us true car guys out there and we onn this forum are some of them, doing it the old way, unique and badass personalization. It doesn't matter what some pencil pushing car snob thinks, it only matters what you think and feel as an individual. The only person who has to love your car is you, farck everyone else.

Re: Muscle Car review magazine
I agree, why do all big builders keep trying to do something new with a '69 camaro? There are better cars to do...yeah I said it.

Re: Muscle Car review magazine
I pick up a Car Craft mag occasionally. It seems more like a mag for folks who aren't rich guys, who have all their work done professionally, like the Hot Rod gang. And I agree that the old timers are mostly gone now, and the younger generation of pencil-pushing editors have tunnel vision when it comes to cars.
Maybe it's something to do with the ratings game, just like trash TV these days, only it's in circulation numbers of magazines etc.
The G3 generation of our cars, is like the forgotten war.....Korea...
