Francis Lewis Boulevard was one of many hot spots in NYC/Long Island area from back in the day.

My friend and I showed up right after the oil on the street incident happened that night. The police were telling everyone to leave, as some older guy poured oil on the street because he was sick of the drag racing and noise that would go on all night.

That movie trailer brought back many memories of growing up in NYC

Looks like a good movie, set when?  I'd guess about 1986. I did notice a few aftermarket cowl hoods, which would be somewhat out of place in the '80's. Laughing

All the Boroughs had a spot my family was in The Bronx and we cruised East Tremont Avenue in my late teens early 20's it was right around the time that movie is set in,my buddy had a really nice 80 Cutlass with 8 inch Cragar sst's and my other friend a hooked up 81 Monte.

Never made it up to the Bronx much unfortunately, but so many Gearhead locations back in the late 80’s – early 90’s

So many memories of -

Rockaway Blvd
Howard Beach
Brooklyn  Fountain Ave.
Brooklyn 86st
Levittown Long Island – Hempstead Turnpike
Farmingdale Long Island – RT110
Oceanside - Nathans – Long Beach Road
Long Island – Various spots along Sunrise Hwy

Miss those days.

Search Astoria Park on you tube,some guy posted a old video on the from around 85 of a car show at the park. Its great.
My friends are Greek and they hung out there back then.
