Re: My Cousins 73 SS 454
It should be painted blue after a while but itll probably be primer black for that while till it gets painted.
Yep the were clacking, 2 were hitting the valve covers and one was loose, like real loose. It runs better and no mo clackin. LOL.
Picked up a fuel cell to throw in the trunk till the tank is done getting sumped. Now just gotta find some wheels and tires to hold up for a while. But it moved out of the shop and got the windows installed. still working on the details. Small stuff like wiring and gauges.

Re: My Cousins 73 SS 454
Duuude........ I've got a set of wheels that would look killer on it! J/K
You call wiring small stuff? I know it's not hard but depending on how much wiring you have to do, that stuff starts to get tedious. Worst I ever done was helping my cousin completely rewire his old 63 truck front to back. Crap took forever & in hindsight a prefabbed harness would have saved time. I also emergency rigged my old Bronco with speaker wire hooked up to a toggle switch one night while coming home from work. All of the lighting went out & I was 5 miles from home. LOL that was fun.

Re: My Cousins 73 SS 454
well the car has 150 miles on it now. Bought a set of wheels, the cragars didnt look good. 15x10 with 4" BS makes it look like a cricket with the 350 non air springs and a 454 on top of em. But installed a hurst shifter in the factory center console. The radiator is junk, leaking and causing overheating.

Re: My Cousins 73 SS 454
What a great job and tenasity to stay with the project. You have accomplished what most wouldn't try.
Did you finish? Any more Pics? How many burn outs? Where do you live. Im in Tulsa.
Have you got your ride painted? Great bunch of pics showing your progress and certainly hope your back to work.
My 76 has taken me a very long time to restore. All I like is a nice set of wheels.
Thanks for sharing your pics. jerry

Re: My Cousins 73 SS 454
Yipper. My 76 also came from Broken Arrow, just downstream of you. I'm only an hour drive away if you're interested in these wheels cheap:

PM me to let me know. Gonna try to sell these to help fund my motor build.

30 days? Absolutely possible with enough help. I'm rooting for you. That was a nice ride that still deserves another chance.

Re: My Cousins 73 SS 454
At least it wasn't your leg this time.
So I guess I'll be the first to ask this, but are you still planning to run the same engine that you had before?
