The seats look comfy...I'll give him that. But, that monstrosity protruding out from the dash looks like some kind of mutation!

Indeed. Unless you need that shelf for a cup holder or displaying your tchotchkes. Plus the steering wheel is disappointing. You do all that fab work to get the caddy stuff in but can’t get a leather Escalade wheel?

Grafting in a later model steering wheel is a lot harder that it might seem. Having done it with a Pontiac G6 wheel, I can say that the splined mounting hub has to be cut out of the G3 wheel, and then major surgery has to be performed on the later wheel to mate the two so it will go back on the splined shaft on the G3 column. The later wheel will not simply bolt to our old columns as-is. It can be done, but it's a fair amount of work.

Right. But the rest of it was a lot of work already. At least get an older Tahoe or something that matches.
