Bumper impact strip
Recently purchased a nos front impact strip. While talking to 454fourspeedss we discovered an interesting thing. I needed the 3 piece impact strip for a bumper with bumper guards. The original box showed the part number for the one piece strip without guards, but molded in the rubber were the three separate part numbers for the bumper with the guards. So evidently GM must have cut these into 3 segments on the assembly line. I have not attempted to cut the strip yet, going to let it sit out flat for a long while to relax from 40+ years in a box.

Re: Bumper impact strip
That's good info on the impact strip. I need to replace mine on my 76. How hard are these to.find, and what do they go for?

Re: Bumper impact strip
They are very difficult to find. I have been looking since 2001! Mine are in nice shape, but the edges are pulling away from the bumper. I’m just hoping that this nos one flattens out.
