Well my daughters Malibu is gone, She was coming home from school and another kid pulled out in front of her. She had no time to brake at all. Ploice were actually sitting there when it happened. She had less then 15ft to react at 40 mph. Everybody in the car is ok, but the car doesnt look good.

Well shes fine, bruises are still showing up, She is determined to find a donor car and swap the goods over and paint it green also. Engine swap will be a lil tricky, my ace mechanic (dad) has a job out of state so that part will have to wait.

About 10 years ago a friend restored/freshened up a real nice mid 80s Chrysler New Yorker and I bought it from him for well over market value. The same thing as above happened about a month later. A guy pulled out of a parking lot trying to beat my daughter. The car was totaled and the insurance company gave me market value of the car as a privite owner car. This amount is exactly half the amount of bluebook on a dealer's lot. I got screwed twice at the same time by the insurance company. JB

Sad Dammit Dan, you had to show that again didn't you? Anything ever come out of it?

Mal76ibu, I'm sorry to hear about the loss. That was a really nice ride. It's amazing to see that everyone is OK.

Eeeegads...that stinks. Glad your daughter is OK, though. Cars can be replaced; people cannot.....

Yes, great to hear no one has any serious injuries. With the front clip removed, you may see actual damage to the main body structure, and it may be not as bad, or maybe even worse than what the pic shows. Hope it donates some good parts for the next one. Also good to hear that your daughter is looking ahead to another nice ride, however it works out.

Still fightin the insurance company all week. The worse part its mine I am fighting not the guy at faults. My own insurance is tryin to hose me. Gave them 2 choices
1) $3000 clear title and keep the car
2) $5000 bad title and keep the car

either way there will be another Alienation on the road again. Going to try and build a green laguna instead, the only problem is she wants a bench instead of buckets. Rolling Eyes
