Yep, I aggree. The yards that HAVE old neat cars ONLY have them because they want a fortune for them and their parts.

Well, we can definitely tell the difference between the greedy and the car admirers. I'm trying to score some 74 grill and headlight pieces from a cat near OKC somewhere and he quoted me some crazy money too. Sheesh

Too bad you aren't needing a 77 grille & parts. I have a complete car that I'm tearing down.

Re: Chevelle graveyard
If jrb75 doesn't want the r/h pass-side headlight housing, I might be interested. I would also have to find the inside pieces to mount the bulbs etc I have a good left/driver's side housing.

Re: Chevelle graveyard
Cool! I need it! Shoot me a price. Do you have the internal part to mount the light in the other one, like the driver's side? I see that one has the bucket in it.
Also: you gonna send me a gasket for the block-off plates layout?

apology
Limey I owe you an apology. The head light housing I need is the driver's side. I already have the right side. Went to look today at what I had, and discovered it's the passenger/right side. So I still need one, the driver's side.
And don't forget to send that gasket. Making those block-off plates is the least I can do for ya

Re: Chevelle graveyard
Bill: If it's a driver side headlight extension you need and Limey can't help, I could surely pull one off a car next time I'm out scavenging. Wouldn't know what the guy would want for one until I talked to him, so you can either give me a ballpark number for what you think is a fair price and I could make a decision to pull it on the spot...or, I could find out and report back and we go from there. I get out there maybe once a week, btw...depending on demand for parts.

Re: Chevelle graveyard
Mcarlo77; yeah, 50 to 60 bucks seems like a ball-park figure. I also need the little buckets that hold the bulbs on both sides. No rush, whenever you get to it. My alternative is the quad type. I have two sets of those. My '74 Malibu has the singles, and I like that better.

Re: Chevelle graveyard
Will put it on the list, Bill. Our weather has taken a turn for the worst and it looks pretty cold and snowy the rest of this week. Will just need to play it by ear, I guess.

Re: Chevelle graveyard
If you can wait a few more weeks for our weather to warm up, I'll be able to gain access once again to dozens of Chevelles/El Caminos up here in Minnesota. Right now, the snow is thigh deep around the cars making it near impossible to pull parts.
Pila...still needing those headlight buckets?
