Can anybody help with these trim codes off my '76 S-3? I do know it's Firthorn with a white Vinyl top. Power windows and locks. Base engine and dual remote mirrors. Split bench (red)

A65
36L
11T
10A

Well...to get you started, the "36L" confirms the Firethorn Red exterior and the "11T" confirms the white top. "A65" designates "Seat Back-Frt.Seat Split With Ctr. Arm Rest" according to GM's Production Options.

Believe the 10A is the build date (Oct-1st week).

Can't identify 08N just yet. Is your interior Maroon by any chance? Mine is and the color charts don't show a maroon color. Can't get to my Laguna for a couple days to check if it has this same code.

I'll take a look at my Trim Tag and let you know if it's got the same code. White door panels, huh? Seems like an unusual combination. Wonder if somebody swapped those out at some point?

yeah that's possible. When i got the car it was purple with 14" wire wheels. Im not going stock but it would be nice to know everything about the car.

Okay, Jurgen...the 08N code is for Dark Mahogony interior. Mine has code 74C...which is also used to call out Dark Mahogony. GM used several different codes (may have depended on which plant it was built) for a particular color. Mine has a letter "B" in the VIN number...indicating it was built in Baltimore. If you need help with yours, let me know.

Still pretty sure the "10A" was your Build Date (month/week; especially if it was on the bottom line of your Tag. If your door tag is still intact, you could confirm that month.

The fact that your car was built in Arlington (code letter "R") would seem to confirm the different interior color code (08N) used rather than what was used on my Baltimore built car (74C).

ST 76 (simply the year of your car)
1AE37 (1 designates Chevy - AE designates Laguna - 37 designates Sport Coupe body style)
043580 (Body Sequence No.)
060597 (don't know WTF that stands for!) Mine has 69CB7L3

Now...would be cool if you could find a Build Sheet!
