Anyone have an extra 4spd top for our consoles. Mine is pretty bad. If not I think I'll try using mine as a mold and make a fiberglass one. What do you guys think?

They dont seem to pop up very often, every now and then one comes up on eBay and it usually goes for a pretty penny. A fiberglassed custom would be interesting, but it wouldnt have that padded feel of original, I dont know what you're going for though.

Do you have some pictures of your Chevelle? I really like your avatar!

Maybe you can modify one from the previous generation Chevelles? Or maybe a 70-81 F body- they seem to be more plentiful. I've seen them on E-bay and they are expensive- I don't know if 73 454 Monte has one- he's going through his parts collection- worth a shot to check if you want to keep it era correct.

I had one for the monte @ one point i was going to convert mine. But when i was offered 350 for it, well you know. I had everything but the trans it self. So i sold off the rest of the stuff.

i was going to take an automatic top cut the square part out the way the 4 speed tops look then fill it in with foam and bondo hair wont look factory but would have a nice custom touch

I like the idea. I'm thinking of making a mold of my automatic one and then making a fiberglass 4spd top from the mold?????

That would work but make sure the fiberglass is thick so it won't be flimsy

don't give up hope looking for one though. Ive only been looking for a few months for me one myself and I just scored one yesterday.look where you may not normally I was cursing for sell ads on swivel bucket seats and seen this one sitting off to the side in the picture, the guy said he would sell it and ship it to me, so that was that.

A console top you found? Or swivel buckets? If you need swivels I have 3 xtra sets.

found a full 4 spd console, guy sent it to me today. but I found it while i was just messing around looking at swivel bucket seats. and when it comes time I will be needing complete new front seats mine rusted away from the base.
