Re: Laguna S-3 Registry
Im confused....everybody wants the other Chevelle years (1964-1972) owners to recognize our cars, so i get a registry going for us and nobody registers their cars. I understand its only S3s, but dont we have alot of those cars on here?

Re: Laguna S-3 Registry
If I had an S-3, I'd register. Why not?
Maybe not enough peeps saw the posts.

I'm going to get mine registered. Was out of town last week and completely forgot this week. Thanks for the reminder.

Re: Laguna S-3 Registry
I am not trying to be argumentative by asking this question, but I don't understand why Lagunas would need a registry?
A Laguna was by no means a limited car with a production of 32670.
What's the goal or purpose?
Thanks -
Jerry

Re: Laguna S-3 Registry
32,670 is not alot for a 3 year run..........if you have one and don't want to register, then don't.
They are special cars that need to be addressed, after all the S3 took over where the SS left off.
Malibus are cool too, but they made a billion of them from 73-77

Re: Laguna S-3 Registry
It's not about registering. I'm interested, but I am asking the question, what is the purpose?
Before you say, 32670 is not alot of cars, think about how much area you would would need to park 32670 cars.
It would require 150 acres or 114 football fields.
That is alot of cars.

Re: Laguna S-3 Registry
The point is to see how many are still around. now that i was able to get the registry on a 1964-72 website the word will spread and with that so will values, in S3s and other G3s.
Thats the whole point
And with production numbers............how many 1969 SS396s were made? And what are they worth? And I think G3s look better!
Just trying to get our cars known. First S3s and then SSs and so on...........

Re: Laguna S-3 Registry
I can't believe you thought this would be a quick process. It will be a very slow process. I imagine that most people who own these cars don't love them to the extent that the members here do. BTW that link takes me to the registry prior to our 3rd gens. I wouldn't mind registering my 73 laguna, but it's not an S3

Re: Laguna S-3 Registry
The S3 designation started in 74. That registry doesn't include my 73. Is there a registry anyone know of that includes the 73 laguna's?

Re: Laguna S-3 Registry
It's been a slow process getting owners to register...but, at least the list is growing.
Really wonder what percentage of these cars have survived.

Re: Laguna S-3 Registry
I've run into a couple people that owned them "back in the day" Â & I remember a few of them running figure 8 at painsville speedway....And one '74 Laguna estate in a demo derby. Â What I mean is that's quite a few for a not very common car.

Re: Laguna S-3 Registry
Never realized there were only 864 Canadian '76 Lagunas. Wow, I'd be surprised if there's 300 left out of that. Mines a Canadian car.

Do you mean built in Canada or built in Canada for the Canadian market?chevellelaguna wrote:Never realized there were only 864 Canadian '76 Lagunas. Wow, I'd be surprised if there's 300 left out of that. Mines a Canadian car.

Re: Laguna S-3 Registry
The registry states that there were a total of 864 units built in Canada. Mine is one of those built in the Oshawa plant. So I would think its 1 of 864 right?

Re: Laguna S-3 Registry
That would be my guess as to the meaning. Â My '74 Malibu was built there also

Re: Laguna S-3 Registry
That's pretty cool that your 74 is a Canadian car as well. I lived in Ottawa when I bought my 76. I have since brought it to Pittsburgh... Haven't seen but a handful of lagunas in the past 14 years living here.
