Hello,
Has anyone seen this hard red-ish filler between door hinge pillar and bolt plate?
Does anyone know what it is?
Can it be removed?
Can it be replaced?
Just wondering if I should remove it, replace it, or leave it alone?

Yeah, I've seen it.  Always thought it was some kind of caulking used during the assembly process. I'd be curious to know exactly what the purpose was, too.

Mine had it also I would bet it used much like Nascar use a glue to center the lugs on there wheeels..... this would center the hinge in the door so they didnt have to endlessly jack with aligning the door

One of my reference books states this is a type of seam sealer. This would make sense since this would be a problematic area for rust.
