Winter in IL

And now you know why I moved from Chicago back to KY after moving up there. I almost froze to death one night, I went to work in a blizzard and when I tried to open the door with the key my hands were so frozen I could not get the key to turn. I had to go to another seldom used door that was blocked from the wind before I could get in. That was around 1968 or 70. JB

I'll just stay here in Texas where it just dipped to -4 with 30mph winds, when your body is raised to take 100+ heat and humidity all day with no breeze.

Spent my 1st 20 years in Illinois, I miss my family and on occasion-four separate seasons. Don't miss that really cold season and all that white grass you cant mow

Seems like the whole world has been hammered by bad weather problems this past year. Those Aussies are having a really bad time., with a cyclone on top of all the flooding......

i dont think that the world had more bad weather than average, i think that since the world is getting smaller, reports of the disasters around the world are becomming more up to date and more informative. just watching the news makes you feel like its the beginning of appocalypse...

I LOVE the snow ... but hate the cold temps and salt that tends to follow the snow everywhere.....
