Re: cant find
Yep it was a one of one car made in 1973 & sold for $12,030. Baldwin decided that it cost too much to build the first one & didn't want to continue on making anymore. FYI - $12,000 was almost 3x the price of a normal Chevelle. The color was Cortez Silver.

The 73 Chevelle SS I used to own was this same color...

Re: cant find
Notice that the clone isn't quite the same color though. 1973 Silver Poly (code #64) that came on Chevelles weren't Cortez Silver. That was actually a 69-70 color & somewhat different. Not extremely noticeable, but still different.

Re: cant find
That was supposedly the first thing built and sold as a new Chevy that was more expensive than the Corvette! Pretty crazy seeing any vehicle in the early 70's selling for 12k (I'd imagine, anyway).
Of all the ridiculous cars I'd want to have, this tops the list.

I'm not a sidepipe person. That's the only thing I don't like about it.

Re: cant find
Have you noticed how high off the ground that thing sits? It must have a powerful set of springs under it. I would like to get some stronger springs under my front end, but would want something that would not make it sit higher than it is now. It might not be a bad idea to sit higher, it would save some wear and tear on my full length headers. JB

Re: cant find
JB, you're right - I have never noticed that before. Probably to allow the sidepipes and large wheels/tires.
I wonder what a Baldwin-Motion 75-76 Laguna S-3 would have looked like...
