3 good choices...partial to the Caprice myself. Like me some big cars! But my advice is to go with whichever one you thing is going to cost you the least amount of $$ (in terms of cost/repairs/operation, etc...) until you can get your 3rd Gen.

Re: hard decision
Camaros don't cut it around here, for an all weather car. They don't like snow very well. I bought my wife a new '86 Camaro to drive to work. Big mistake. One inch of snow, and it's all over...
I traded it in on an '88 Chevy 3/4 ton custom van, a Choo Choo custom conversion. One of the best vehicles I ever owned, and she loved it....
Hope you can find something that will work for you....

Re: hard decision
I wondered about the A vs G. The El Camino guys think it's just paper juggling at GM, and there's very little difference if any...(?)

Re: hard decision
Personal opinion, but I'd go with whatever has the best resale. You eventually want a G3 & don't plan to keep this one, so why not get a car that you can flip for profit or use as leverage? Might even buy that Camaro you were talking about & post it for trade for a G3. I've done that before to get vehicles that I wanted. Sometimes it works, sometimes it just ends up selling. Cars that no one wants are hard to sell though.
