Welcome to the sie fellow 'Guna-man! Make sure to register it on the National Laguna S-3 registry.Look in the forum for the thread to check out. We are trying to find out how many are left and it could also help to increase awareness and possibly value. It's cool, anyway!

Welcome. Try sending limey a pm about Laguna nose parts. He was trying to sell a complete one very recently, and has ( I think) resorted to parting it out. Beer I always did like lagunas. Very Happy

negative Boss, im not sure which motor this came out of, because its "suppose" to be the 3rd egnine in this car it had a 400 in it before this, and this motor had the points disturbtor in it and it started acting all wierd so instead of fixing it i wanted to upgrade to the HEI dizzy. so who knows what this car has been through.
But does anyone have a wiring diagram? I need to know which wire to hook up to the Hei so i can start it and time it correctly.

But would a el camino front fit? I came across a few there parting out it looks a little different than mine but its a 70's model
or will just a laguna front fit? this may just be a temp fix till I get a solid stock one, one day....

El Caminos will fit till you find the right nose, just make sure to get the core support as well if a dual stacked headlight it might be different and better to be safe then sorry and stuck, and let me dig out my diagram for you if I can remember what folder I put it in

but now looks like im having a issue sense I put the new valve covers on it started leaking oil alll over so i went to change the oil and saw it leaking out the back side went to remove the bolts and one broke off on the head Mad , but i tighten the others and seem to work, but I drove it across town before knowing it and i guess it leaked out all the oil (no oil light came on at that)
and now It wont crank after I tighten the bolts and put a little oil in it, i didnt hear any knocking but it did smoke from the rear and I see were oil was on it, yall think the motor is done? I reallly hope not..

Valve cover may be warped. Do you hav e spreader bars to more evenly distribute the force of the valve cover bolts? They do help.

Long washers (for lack of another term) that go on the cover, under the bolt, that spread the load. If a steel valve cover gets over tightened it pulls down under the bolts and lifts her in other areas causing leaks. If you take the cover off and look at the flange it has to all be flat, if around the bolt holes is peened you found the problem. Hope this helps. Beer

They're these: valve cover load spreaders

They effectively give you eight points of pressure along the rail instead of four, and are more evenly spread out.

Be sure to staighten the valve cover sealing edges first, all the holes have to be flat with the rest of the rim, and careful not to slide the gasket when installing. Come down FLAT on the heads. AND DON"T OVER tighten them.

Just as a side note, general motors switched to center bolt valve covers (1987) to help prevent valve cover leaks.
