NO more excuses lets make this the Biggest showing of G3's in history the Date has been set for October 5TH, 6TH, 7TH 2012, yes 2012 you have one year to get it it together.

It will be Held at Cordova Dragway , Cordova, Illinois on the border of Illinois / Iowa

Free on site Camping with admission price of $11.oo per person kids will be $3.oo ages 6 to 12 under 6 will be free admission
If enough ABodies show they can set up our own class for us to run in

If you run Slicks it is a Madatory driveshaft loop required, but if running street tires none is needed, Helmets are not required unless you are 13.99 or lower the exception to this rule is Convertibles and T-Top cars YOU ARE REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES TO WEAR HELMET ON TRACK ( well while driving on the 1/4 ), they do have track helmets for rental for 10 bucks for the day if you do not own one, LOL

You can either race in the class they set up for us, or race for cash in the BOP division, or in the trophy division but that is a all in car catagory not just ABodies.

Test & Tune / Trophy division Car & Driver $20.oo to enter that one.
BOP Cash race Car & driver $35.oo
Car & driver Quick 8 $75.oo

To run in the BOP Division Car / Truck has to Be 100% motor wise either Buick, Oldsmobile, Pontiac powered tech for this event will be minimal but is NHRA enforced so there rules will apply.

The track will be offering some items for the long haul awards and I will be Having Stickers and T-Shirts for Long Haulers as well.

Jeez I hope Mali is done by then. Gives me even more of an incentive. Can you imagine like 100 G3's showing up there? Or even 50....might be a world record!

9.5 hours for me. Would be cool to have Brown Eye ready for the trip, but that would mean swapping a few parts & possibly adding a heater. Do we get Long haul awards for actually driving our 73-77 cars over X amount of miles/hours? Maybe even have a Long Haul Club for something like that.

BTW, I have no access to FB at the moment except through my cell phone (hassle) so make sure to keep this page updated. I'm probably not the only one.

yes there will be Long Hauler awards and maybe some other stuff ....I am working on a few surprises

Just realized this, but October 11, 2012 falls on a Thursday. How many days is this event going to take place? Also is it a 73-77 event only or are you including "those other guys"?

It is an all out welcome for everyone BUT I AM THROWING THE GAUNTLET UP FOR ALL ABODIES TO SHOW OUR THE PRESENCE WE STILL HAVE IN AMERICA and then maybe part suppliers will stand up and take notice that we are NOT so forgotten after all.

Details added to first post I spoke with Track owner today and he is setting aside some land for our Barges and remember free on site camping will be available so bring the whole Family

Sounds like a good idea wish i was able to go. Too far and too broke but i will be there in spirit.

I grew up not too far away from Cordova, been there a couple times. It would be a good excuse to see the family too

Wife and I just picked this up. Great way to break it in!
