loging in problems Empty loging in problems

Post by pila Thu Jan 03, 2013 6:13 pm

I'm still having problems with this site. I have log to in about twice a week, since it doesn't always remember me. And some times I can't get out of it without closing the browser. It's beginning to get irritating. Something needs to be fixed. Patience is running out.....

Bill are you checking-off the box on the log in screen to remember you?

I sometimes have to log in once or twice if I'm doing so from multiple computers if I don't log out from the first (happens @ work mostly LOL).

If it's only one computer @ home than someone has probably cleared the history and/or "cookies" from your internet browser. That might be why you're being asked to log in again. If your running weekly security scans & such on your PC- that might also clear the browser out.

my issue with the site is, I've been unable to give people street cred for their help on here. Everyone says, there's supposed to be a plus and minus in the upper right hand corner, and I have nothing

I think it might have to do w/ the number of posts or something? I seem to remember not having it for a while when I first joined up as well. Then one day it was there.

I'm the only person to use my PC. I'm on quite a few forums, and sites, and don't have a problem anywhere except here.

So far, I've had pretty good luck on this site .... the people are great, and everybody seems to want to help out where they can.

I've learned alot ... saved alot of money ... found a few parts ... made some friends ... and when I have a question about something, almost always get a response.

The information about suppliers on different things has whats been valuable to me. Many of these guys have owned these cars for many years, and know where to get stuff. It saves me alot of time, so I don't have to go out looking.

I just wish OPG, The Parts Place, National Parts Depot, and some of the others would reproduce more parts for our cars

Sorry don't know what to tell you, I only occasionally get logged out, maybe once a month at the most.

Have you tried a different browser? I use google chrome and LOVE IT.

Glad to know I'm not alone! I'm still having to not only log on each day...but, every friggin' time I visit the site. Even if it's ten times a day! I never had any issues with logging on until maybe a month or so ago. Wouldn't even begin to know what, if anything, I could do with my computer to remedy this.

I'm experiencing this too but only sometimes. When I have to log back in I check the "remember me" box but once in a while I still get logged out & have to sign back in too, even if I leave the browser open.

Not only logging in glitches, but I can't get back out without using the little drop-down window that sez "close".
They must like me to stick around !!Very Happy
