Anyone see this 74 on Ebay?

The car looks great and all, but the shots of the underside look photoshopped, like someone is trying to hide some rust. Anyone else notice?

Looks like rattle can rust proofing on an over-detailed but clean car.

Post a picture and circle the area.

This seller likes armor-all and lots of touch-up.
Unfortunately many others don't spend the time to prep their stuff to sell.

I love the car! Very NICE! Although along with a great detail & spraying the underside...they should have done something with those hood hinges when detailing under the hood. At least they addressed the brake booster. I would assume after 41 yrs it would have looked similar to the hinges. However.... judging from the pictures this is the best example of a low mileage untouched 74 Monte I've seen.

I noticed where the lift arms are also grey/black. Unless they just spray painted the bottom of this car (and over sprayed the lift arms), someone was sloppy with the photoshop tool, lol. The underside just has a weird look to it, to me it does anyway. But then I notice that the pattern on the lift arm stays the same from picture to picture. So maybe its just been re-painted. The unfocused pictures arent helping my tired eyes either!

Spray bombed, but its still a nice car. I wouldnt mind owning it.

Looks as if his camera settings are off a bit on the exterior pics or the images were enhanced (bad job though).

It may be a good idea to be a bit suspicious, but like said, it's still a nice car. I'm not a Monte guy, but that one catches my eye.. Very Happy

did the oldest detailing trick in the book we did it alot for car lots int the detail shop. take the black paint reduce it down to 50/50 load the gunand go to town. looks like they pulled tank and exhaust and possibly motor and did wveryinch then put in new exhaust and tank and panted and cleand motor and trans in my opinon on motor trans at least cause paints too pretty for a car that has been driven

How the heck do you know who's bidding when it's like this. I could be his sister driving up the price. Not that I don't think the car is worth it but this just annoys me about e-bay.

Shill bidding is an age old issue on Ebay. Since hidden identities, we are dependent on Epay to police it. It doesn't happen. Their sales are down like everything in this economy, so any closed auction is money in their pocket.

Lots of these cars are going to Europe because the Euro buys more here.
