Anybody ever come across these for our cars? I bought a set for a 72 but they are to big for the hole in the frame. Just wonderin what any of you have done.

how bad is yours ?? I have one I am pulling out for a perfect piece only bad spot is about 1" around the mount on drivers side

I need the rubber mounts that hold the support to the frame. Look like a body mount but smaller

Books show all the same 68-72. Are you sure? The 72 didn't work to big to fit in hole.

all I know I ordered it for a 71 NON ss malibu and it fit in my cutlass maybe the olds are same size ???

I just ordered them from The Parts Place .They list them for a 77 Monte Carlo

The Parts Place is where I bought mine for the '75 Elco. The hole in the frame bracket is big enough to move the core support around a bit when getting the fenders etc lined up.

I know it's an old topic. . .

I took a chance for the price. same height as my old ones, fits in the opening of the core support without any problems, its just not as wide as the stock. i think it was about a quarter to half an inch smaller.

And yea Getting either all done this year or maybe just motor work done to it and run it as is. I am yanking numbers matching block and building one I have decided, Even been eyeing BBC to drop in but will see.

Thanks, no the mural is going but might shave the inside of the trunk lid and do one similar in there. I would post the pic but i dont want to get banned Pc Ouch Smiley . Take the engine out and go for the BBC/SBC, like that you can save the original motor and tranny if you ever need to sell the car.
