1975 Buick Pace Car

I am not sure how to link from craigslist, but there is a VERY seldom seen (rare is an overused word) 1975 Buick Free Spirit Pace Car on the Pittsburg Craigslist, listed under 1975 in cars and trucks.

That's only the third one i have ever seen! I don't know what the Yamaha toy he wants is worth, but it sounds like he's ready to deal!

Prob that $4000 to $7000 range. Whats production # on these anyone know right off hand?

Sweet ride. Who has this car AND LOSES THE TITLE?! Also, what does he mean by replica, I'm not too keen on these, never really looked them up.

In this case replica just means it wasn't a car that was used to pace the actual race event but is a factory built "reproduction" of the pace car. I always thought the "Free Spirit" cars were 1976 only though (?)

I see. Like the vette pace cars. Didn't know if he was talking factory replica or personally built replica. Hard to do one personally with t-tops though. Love to find a junked out G3 with T-tops. There was one on clist about 6 months ago but expired before I could get it. Pontiac I think it was.

If my roof keeps giving me grief- I may join you in a similar search.

every other pace car never says replica behind it so i think that at one point he got a stipe kit to make it. i might be wrong but thems my thoughts

Be nice if he had paperwork with it... which is obviously asking too much since there isn't even a title. It must not that big of a deal. Wonder how rare they are?

Wasn't it true that, to be considered for a Pace Car, it had to be a convertible...or, at least a T-top? Is that still the case?
