Blasted some parts today.
Well, I've been glass beading loads of small parts like upper arms front and rear, brake hose brackets, etc. and nuts and bolts for my chevelle. I held off on the bigger stuff for my buddy to do. My buddy has a dustless blasting business and he comes to you. He blasts with crushed glass and a small amount of water. Its real nice with minimal mess.
He blasted my rear axle housing, front lower control arms, brake backing plates, underhood support braces, scattershield, trans crossmember, driveshaft and even (2) 8" rally wheels I have laying around. All those parts in only 50 minutes right in my yard. Price was $250.
I already glass blasted my edelbrock air gap so its ready for the powdercoater along with the scattershield. Dropped those both off today.
Then I hit all the parts with some wax and grease remove, hung the parts and sprayed some black epoxy on them. Same paint I used on my frame (Summit Chassis Saver).
Thinking about making a "build" thread. My frame has all new brake, fuel and vapor lines. New proportioning valve and poly bushings front and rear (except on the differential).
We love pics, so here you go.

Definitely do the build thread. I love them! Everything is looking great so far. I wish I knew someone around here that could do my hood. It needs taken to bare metal for sure. I really want a fiberglass hood. Money, money, money...

Re: Blasted some parts today.
I like blasting parts as often as I can. Time consuming, but very worth in the end. We have a blast cabinet from HB. Works great, just wish it was a little bigger; fit larger parts in it.
Btw, those wheels look great. And, how else could you get the backing plates to look like that?
Also, start a build thread. We enjoy reading build threads from start to finish.

LOL I'm actually putting them on a shelf.
I was just on the net looking up the rim stampings. They are AZ rims with a K-1-9 stamp near the bolt holes. So I know they are vette rims but I cant find any date code stamp. I'll take a look at them again tomorrow. I'd like to get a year on them.

Joe- do a build thread or a "re-build" thread for your car
. It deserves one.

Re: Blasted some parts today.
Thanks for all the great replies. Parts look better in person. No camera flash like in the pics. Going to press the front lower arm bushings and ball joints today. Then I just have to tighten up the motor mounts, then I can install the front springs.
