opinions needed

ive had a couple guys call on my monte but they want me to pull my motor cause they want a stock car. but i dont know if i want to sell it to someone that wants to use it for a stock car. not because its rare or int but just that they are getting hard to find. whats everyone thoughts or opinions

yea when he said stock car said wouldnt pull motor now if some one here needed it for parts then that would be diff

besides ill be coing fairly close at end of month so you wouldnt have to transport very far lol

Screw that buyer. Someone will come along that will appreciate your car. If I remember correctly, wasn't that a fairly straight body? I could see a banged up, rotted car but not one that's complete like yours. I personally would have taken that as a smack in the face insult.

ive had bigger insults offer to tade it on 66 chevy pickup that was fair but needed work. only wanted 2500 got back to e and said y car plus $1500 cash that was twice the insult

Ouch. The problem with selling prices based on engine cost is that most people won't/can't/don't appreciate the actual cost of performance parts let alone a stock refresh. This leaves the potential buyer judging a car's value solely on the car's outside appearance. Unfortunately brown is one of the low men on the totem pole. I guess fortunate for me since it helped bring the value of my car down when I bought mine. If you were going to deal with the hassle of pulling the motor for some guys that were planning to tear it up, you might as well find your next project, swap motors & sell the Monte at a lower price. That way you get your fresh motor in your new car, plus you won't lose as much of an investment by selling the Monte with a motor you didn't slave for.

Just out of curiosity what were they offering you........ if you pull the motor ??

looking for one wouldnt mind a g3 chevelle malibu or about any gm and would trade alsong as ran and drove can always build bigger and better motor

he said most hed pay was 500 for that id sell a stripped shell with no glass trim grille ectand on blocks not with the rallys

You could almost get that in scrap prices..... Which is where it would end up.

I say polish it up & take new pictures of it in a better background with good lighting. You would be amazed at what some good photography will do for offers. The cleaner & brighter it appears, the quicker it sells.
