On days like this,I try and include the moms and dads out there that do both sides of the raising of our children. On fathers day,I will do the same thing to all. Just the way it should be. Some would say that it is called respect Very Happy

My mom is in nursing home with alzhimers...........sometimes she dosent know me.....sometimes she hates me.....sometimes not!!!!!!!!!

i'm sorry to hear that,really i am. my grandma was like that 5 years ago. i know where your coming from.

BadBis that has to the worst desease to die from, I watched my grandfather die from that then my grandma less than a year later she just gave up with out him, they were married for 63 years and to this day I still think about them everyday ........... I lived with them alot growing up so they had more than a special place for me. My parents were always gone bowling drinking or this or that but always were gone. He was an ordained minister so it was real tuff for me to hear some of the things he we would say, so yea I know where you are coming from and wish the best for you and yours

I used to be the President of a senior citizens recreation group. I knew all the people in the group for 15 or so years and we were all very close. Our group did not get many new members over the years but we kept loseing them one at a time, many to Alzhimers. There were about a hundred in the group when I joined. We shut down operations about 3 months ago because we were down to 5 or 6 regulars and about half went into nursing homes when we shut down. JB
