low spark

low spark

took off #1 plug wire and turned it over with finger on the wire, just barely feel the volts. battery is low so im charging it now, but could it also be the ignition coil or distributor? the firing order is correct

It could be the coil, but I doubt it. The four door Chevelle that I traded Dan had a dim yellow spark & it ran like a champ. Probably still does......

There should be two wires that can be hooked up to your distributor. Which wire to hook up depends on if you run points or HEI. For points, you run the wire with resistance & HEI gets the 12 volt wire. If you do still have a points style dizzy, how are the points?
