VIN location
Would any one know if the VIN is located anywhere besides the windshield area? On the frame anywhere? this is on a 73 chevelle

Your last 6 digits are stamped on the firewall. I know if you have a non a/c car and remove the blower motor, you usually can see them. I'm not sure about an a/c car.

I havent come upon any vin numbers on the 3 frames I've blasted and refurbed.

I do have an a/c car, pulled the blower and it looks the same. same hole in the firewall. no numbers. If they are there, must be behind the "suitcase" somewhere.

There is some variation by final assembly location; Oshawa and Baltimore were known to stamp a partial VIN in that area. Flint, for example, did not.
