Early production Laguna S-3
Summer of '88 while working for a fireworks stand in SW Missouri. A white '74 Chevelle Laguna S-3 pulled up to the local grocery store next to the stand. Of course a typical high school kid had to ask about it. I remember vividly it was white with red side stripes, red bucket seats, console, rally wheels, square front turn signals, red vinyl top, S-3 emblems. The reason it stuck with me all these years is that it had 73 round tail lights and bumper. Chevelle.com stated the S-3 could be ordered in 73 (late i figure) and came with a red vinyl top. Did chevy get some early production Laguna S-3's out before the the rear bumper, tail light change over? Anyone else ever see one? What i saw looked original paint. I was into 3 gens and any muscle cars for that matter so always looked at details and that part of the car stuck with me. Reminded me when i saw the ride of the week.

Yeah, I was just talking about this with my dad yesterday. Our friend in Minn has a 1 owner all original 73 chevelle with the 74 looking front end on it. That is, it has the square grill that doesn't extent under the headlights like your typical 73. I thought maybe it was switched too but apparently some did come like that.
