Re: Hello from England
sorry for the bad info, I forgot the G3's got that sticker, my 73 has one too, and the cowl tag has no date information, as it was moved to the sticker.

Re: Hello from England
No...the cowl tag has a date code on it, too. First three number/alphabet code on third row. It will give you the month/week of the year it was built. Mark's door tag shows a 10/75 build date. His cowl tag should read 10A,B,C,D,or E depending on which week of October it was built (October, 1975 had five weeks in it).

Re: Hello from England
Hello and welcome to the forum. That is one beautiful low mile car you have. I read somewhere that someone found their build sheet on top of their fuel tank.

many thanks for all your help and great compliments ..my Laguna's well at home here..
never thought I'd get excited about trying to find a build sheet! ... it's like a treasure hunt, I can't wait to start the search lol

Re: Hello from England
Mine was found behind the passenger side rear upper panel. Built in 77 at the Doraville/Atlanta plant. I never found my build sheet for my other 77, it was either found before I got the car or the elements got to it since the car was so rusty.

Welcome, Mark!
Love the color on your '76 ... that green is awesome.
Good looking Torino, too.

03N = Dark Lime interior
AN7 = Swivel Bucket Seats
40L = Lime Green Exterior
11T = White top

Re: Hello from England
Nope...40L is the exterior (Lime Green) code. For reasons unknown, GM didn't specify a code for the white interiors when another color was used in conjunction with it. Thus, you'll only have the 03N (Lime) code. Same situation with my '77 Monte that has White swivel interior w/Dark Firethorn dash/strg column/carpet/etc. Personally, I think these color-coordinated white interiors are very classy looking; especially, when they've been preserved in such like-new condition (which is pretty rare).

Re: Hello from England
here's a video of the last time I drove it, the windows were rolled up so you can't hear how loud it is with the side exhaust exit plates off ..I was keeping it sensible so not to attract the law lol

Re: Hello from England
Very cool Mark. Nice sounding even if the windows are up.
I'm assuming the exhaust cut out plates you are referring to are built into the exhaust and just behind the headers?
I see you have a collection of lic plates on your carport. Any from over here in the states?

I've got an old plate off my car that I'd donate to you Mark. It reads....FASRNUR. Most people don't get it until I explain it to them.

Sounds real nice! - not cheap to go for a good long ride anymore - gas is $1.30 a litre here in eastern Canada - what are you paying over the pond?

Oh that's what it means! I thought it was slang for "fastener" like you worked for ARP or something

Re: Hello from England
Let me see what I can find for you Mark. Since I work in a salvage yard and they scrap out cars and some metal, I have a source for some things that might interest you.
Clanceman427, "fastener is one of the things people think it says. Also "fast runner" is the other. In the 15 years or so that I've had the plate I've had it one 4 cars now. The first one was a nice little S10 and when I did shows I would tell people that they had one chance to guess what it said and I would give them a dollar if they got it right. I only paid out a few times and each time it was a kid and not an adult. lol
Yes the truck was lowered, and yes I am that tall. 6'6"
