How many A bodies got a turbo 400?
I know most A bodies got a turbo 350.
Big blocks obviously got turbo 400's.
How about the more obscure choices.
Grand Prix.
Grand Am
400 engines get a turbo 350 or 400?
Thanks.

My buddies original 74 GMC sprint has a 400 with turbo 400. Verified by engine block code.

Re: How many A bodies got a turbo 400?
The TH400 would be a good choice for a 400 engine, specially if it's been massaged a bit. The 400 I put in my Elco years ago, ate 3 of the TH350s that were locally rebuilt, before I built my own transmission. A TH400 would likely have precluded all that fooling around with the 350, at that time..

A few articles I read stated most all Pontiac A bodies, even the 301 got turbo 400's.
I guess the higher original price for
Pontiacs or Buicks got you a 400?
Interesting.

Re: How many A bodies got a turbo 400?
I've got a garage full of turbo 400's.
Chevy,and bop.
When I worked as a mechanic years ago...rolls Royce rolled in for an oil change...Had a hydromatic by Gm...stamped right on the pan.
My question pertains to acquiring stock vehicles with turbo 400's to add to my collection.
