Mouse nest in center vent
Noticed a smell driving and can see what looks to be a nest or remains of mice in my center vent. Is there any easy way to remove the vents or some other way to get at it to clean it out??
Thanks!

Re: Mouse nest in center vent
I had a similar question last year, what I ended up doing was going to the local chinese box store, ( Moncton it will be crappy tire) and buying a "grabby thing" , its a snake of about 12 inches and when you press the thumb button three arms come out the other end, let go and it grabs the "nest".
I just pulled it out through the dash vent in small bits, 1/2 hr job, wear a mask if you dont like mouse poop and dust
your next drive with went open will be dusty also

It isn't so much the mouse poop you have to worry about removing as it is the urine that's left behind in the ductwork. I've come across more than my share of mouse piss when pulling parts and it's nasty smell lingers forever. Hopefully, you got lucky and there isn't any left behind that wasn't absorbed by the nest material.
