Good evening everyone! I am a new member and THANK goodness i found this site!

I have a 1977 Can Am i just bought.... It is ROUGH....

I need two rust free manual doors for it. Cant find any... The doors look the same as a Malibu/Chevelle. Does anyone know for sure?

I am also looking for two front fenders for this car. Fenders would be the same as 76-77 Lemans Coupe/ sport coupe.

Thank you all for reading and any help is HUGELY Appreciated!

I am in Atlanta Georgia/

Welcome to the site! Hopefully, someone on here can help with the parts you need. Unfortunately, I live in the Rust Belt (MN) and the Pontiacs sitting in the junk yards in my area have rusty sheet metal.

Not sure what you are describing by "manual" doors. Doors with manual windows? Manual locks? Regardless, your Can Am shares none of the sheet metal with the Chevelle/Malibu...or, any other GM make of that period; except for the Pontiac Lemans. Pontiac parts seem to be especially difficult to find. Depending on how large your budget is, you could check with some junk yards in AZ (i.e. DVAP.com & Hiddenvalleyautoparts.com).

Welcome! I know there used to be a can am registry. It was ran by a guy named Vern Howard out of Kansas City. Unfortunately I have not seen him since the 90’s. Good luck!

If I didn’t make myself clear. Vern started collecting can am’s back in the eighties, he would be the one for information and possibly would have a lead on parts. I figured I would just drop his name to you for a starting point.

I could be mistaken but I seem to recall Vern passed away some time ago.

You may be correct on Vern passing away. I met him in the early 80’s and ran into him at car shows for maybe 20 years, but it has been years since I have seen him. I know he had one really nice Can Am and a few more of various conditions.
