I'm guessing with the red bumper rub strips that this car originally had red side stripes.

Anyone ever bring a car down from Canada? Is it a hassle...and, are there substantial Customs fees/taxes/duties involved?

I never brought one down, but mine was actually made in Oshawa, but intended for sale in the US. I don't know what year it started, but don't the cars intended to be sold in Canada have km/h on the speedo instead of mph? And the odometer calibrated accordingly?

Do you mean ONLY km/h as compared to both km/h & mph as displayed on '75's for American cars?

BTW...looks like this car is no longer available.

Sorry, poor word choice. I know they show both, I guess I meant 'emphasized more' -- i.e. large, bolder font, brighter color, etc. Wouldn't that necessitate swapping to the US versions of the speedo and sender gear?

Canada didn't change speed to Metric until the fall of 1977. Cars were all calibrated in miles before that. My Canadian '76 has MPH as the primary numbers and km/h as the small number.

I don't know much about bringing cars from Canada to the US, but a buddy of mine has imported at least a dozen from US to Canada without too much hassle. He typically has had them shipped up. I know that importing cars older than 25 years into the US is much easier, than newer stuff.
