i have a few questions about rims and tires
My Monte Carlo is a 1975
right now I have p235/70 r15 tires all the way around I dont like the tall and skinny tires, I have a 373 rear end gear, I want to put some wide tires in the rear and im also going to be putting a new set of 15 inch rims
im at a cross road of either going with wide in the rear and skinny up front for that cool hot rod look,
or 4 matching wide enough not to rub in the front meaty looking tires for the pro touring look
so does any one know what the sizes i can get i really want to keep the rim size at 15, lets see what you guys are using
thanks Danny

Re: i have a few questions about rims and tires
P255-60R15 front 8" wheel, P295-50R15 Rear 10" wheel.
Plenty of room at production ride height.
Then lowered 3" and rear fender edges make contact with rear tires under high speed transitional turning.
Now returning to production ride height.
You have to ask about suspension mods along with tire/wheel combos.
It will make a difference in what is drivable.
Thanks -

Re: i have a few questions about rims and tires
I have 15X6's on the front and 15X8's on the rear of my 80 Malibu. I think the car looks good like that. I used 205/70-15's up front and 255/60-15 for the rear. ON the monte, and on my 70 Chevelle I would use a 275/60-15 on the rear.

Re: i have a few questions about rims and tires
I've got 255/65/15 on the front 255/70/15 on the rear all on 7" wide wheels.
Stock ride height and lots of room.
