Re: 76 Laguna quarter windows
Jerry, if you use the "Window Weld" urethane adhesive that comes in the tube, you really won't need these clips once its cured. If you use the "butyl" ribbon sealer or rope seal you will need these to hold the glass in place. How many clips do you need? I may have some in my stash.

Re: 76 Laguna quarter windows
Thank you so much Bill for the information. I don`t have any of the clips I found the picture of them on google. I`m not sure how many clips it takes , would like to buy any your willing to sell. (send me a PM) I think I`ll look into the window weld.
Can the window weld be used on the rear window. Thank you Bill.

Re: 76 Laguna quarter windows
If I remember right, I think they take 4 or 5 of those clips. And yes, you can use the window weld on all the windows. It cures hard unlike the butyl type adhesive which stays soft. That's why I think GM use the clips on the side windows to ensure they wouldn't come loose. I'll see if I can find these clips in my shop over the weekend and let you know.

Re: 76 Laguna quarter windows
It's been years since I've had mine apart but I seem to remember mine had metal clips & screws to hold the window in. I've got the bigger windows though. 73 chevelle.

Re: 76 Laguna quarter windows
Thank you Anthony, so I need eight clips. I was looking at the 3M window weld 08609. Says I need a professional caulking gun to apply ?

Re: 76 Laguna quarter windows
I just used a Normal caulk gun from Harbor freight the trick is How you lay in I always cut mine at an angled point so it makes a Good bead as you drag it on I also Used painters tape On inside for added insurance that Glass would not move while the stuff cured Take off after it sets or you have fun getting it off if you wait a few days for some reason Painters tape and sunlight dont mix for removal LOL

Re: 76 Laguna quarter windows
Here are some pics of my parts Laguna with the clips. There are 6 clips total on each window. 3 are the curved type and 3 are the block type. The block type clips position the glass properly and the curved clips hold it tight against the butyl. But if you use the 3M Window Weld, you won't need any of them. Once the urethane cures, the glass will not move from its position.
