Re: anyone use one of these?
OPG's dash cap works great too. A little more money but no velcro sticky strips or poofy dash mat. Just my opinion.

corey this is not the dash cap the one you have listed is just a carpet type over lay that adheres to dash with velcro strips

I think this is what you are searching for Corey
1964-77 Dash Pad Molded Outer Shell
http://www.opgi.com/product.asp?ProdCode=SD00019&topcatid=24&grpcode=10304&yearrange=&chapterid=24&topvalue=0&newflag=0&VendorCode=
Each dash shell is made of a high heat-resistant ABS plastic with factory-correct authentic Madrid grain. Once installed, the pad shell will appear as if it's the dash pad itself. Can be installed in minutes over your original torn, cracked and tattered dash. Great low cost alternative. Available in black only. Glue and instructions are included.

Re: anyone use one of these?
Gotta say I like the outer shell a lot better, heard they look really good too.
Supposedly, you can hardly tell that it's there.
I'd save my pennies a little longer and go with that, if it was me and I had the option.

Re: anyone use one of these?
I had the plastic dash cap. not the carpet. I had beautiful results. Corey, if you have any questions or concerns regarding a dash cap, feel free to shoot me a PM, abd I'll be glad to help out as much as I can!

Re: anyone use one of these?
I had horrible luck with the dash cap. Looked terrible. None of the openings lined up perfectly and it was too short. Even sent it back for a second one before going with Just Dashes.

Where did you get yours from? Did you remove the dash, or do it in the car? I had beautiful results...see my pics if you wish.
I love having a 100% original un restored car. The dash in my MC is perfect, with no cracks, nor is it even brittle.

Re: anyone use one of these?
Bought mine from OPGI. Removed the dash, sanded the high spots and cracks out of it and then tried to install the dash cap. The opening for the middle AC vent on the cap was much bigger than the actual opening. It was that day that I sent it out.
Looked at your photos - Looks like everything fit very nicely. Not sure what the deal was with my two.
However, it's still plastic to the touch, and doesn't look the same as an original unmolested dash.
You're lucky the MC is in the shape it is. I will say this though, I guarantee you couldn't tell the difference between a Just Dashes job and an original one.

Re: anyone use one of these?
I got mine from NPD.
Yes, Just Dashes does a great job. I have seen a couple. They look beautiful. I would have loved to do that to mine, but it was a low budget car. Glad I didn't, becasue it got ripped off anyway.

Re: anyone use one of these?
I have a cap too and the air vents are a little too big. the few things i didn't like about it was when u open the door u can see that the cap doesn't cover the whole side of the dash, just a portion of it. also it covers the emblem that is above the glove box door.

Re: anyone use one of these?
The emblem isn't a problem if you have a 73
Just drill the holes trough the cap, and put the emblem right over it!

Re: anyone use one of these?
Negative Ghost Rider. The cap doesn't have the indent for the emblem to sit recessed in. Would look tacky.
Juice - Forgot about the side of the dash too... Mine was like that as well. It's a bunch of BS if you ask me. I don't see why they cut stuff short when making the molds.

False advertizing brother! It's like the wonder bra... Looks great till you open her up. Then it’s nothing but disappointment.

Re: anyone use one of these?
depends on what 73 it is. One of ours had the recessed emblem and one of ours didnt, just holes drilled in the dash...but also one has a removable pad and the other didnt as well.
