My grandma's Monte Carlo.
Here's a photograph of my grandma, with her BRAND NEW 1977 Monte Carlo. This picture was taken in the back parking lot of the old Detroit/Clark Street Cadillac Assembly Plant(sadly, no longer there). This picture sums up why I have my Monte Carlo. She found my Monte Carlo for me, and it caught her eye so much, because she had this 1977, and because loves these Monte's. If she never had this car...who knows what would...or would not...have happened.

Wish you could see more of the car though...sorry.
Her working at Cadillac is what made me the huge Cadillac guy I am today, as well. When I was about...oh maybe 5, she took me there. I was hooked. Mind you, this was after Clark Street closed. This was when everything moved to the Detroit/Hamtramck plant. (That plant is still going strong, making the Buick Lucerne, Cadillac DTS, and the Chevrolet Volt.) In her department (she put on taillights) the cars did have wheels yet...this upset a 5 year old future car lover, not understanding where they were. But, I calmed down when we got to final assembly and they were on. Haha.
She had an 83 Eldorado, too, which I LOVEDDDDD to ride in when I was little. It was burgundy, with a red leather interior. I hope to have a 79-85 Eldorado someday
Hope y'all enjoyed my post!

pretty cool post, i got a 83 eldo for free from my old basketball coach one time, but the tags were expired and it sat in the street, the city came and towed it away the day i was supposed to go get it, and i never saw it again, it sucked, cause ive always liked the el dorados.

Those old pics are great. I had one of those "im with stupid" shirts like she has on in the pic.

LOL, nice. She said her friend had the one with the arrow pointing up that said "I'm Stupid".

I was thinking that, then I saw you actually wrote it. LOL!
