73-77 Malibu/Monte/El Camino console box
Looking for anyone that has any connections to a console box with the lid. Prefer black with an intact door hinge, but will take less depending on price. Any info is appreciated.
Thanks
Thanks

Re: 73-77 Malibu/Monte/El Camino console box
Hi. I do not have one but I have advise. Don't be afraid of one with a broken door hinge. I just repaired mine with a piano hinge from Home depot and that 3M tape that is used for holding on bugshields and those window air deflectors. The repair looks good and I think it will be super strong. I will get to test it next spring.

Here is one. ok that didn't work. I am trying the host it option to attach a pic. I'll keep playing.
I figured it out.

The lid is not screwed to the top in this pic so it does not lay flat. But it looks fine assembled. I just have to put another coat of paint on it first.

so that looks like it turned out pretty well. And the only thing you used to hold the hinge in place is that double sided tape like they use on bug shield deflectors and of the sort?

Yep. I'll find out how it holds up this summer. But my bug sheild has been on my Tahoe for 5 years and it has not come loose.

Hey, small world! I want to put it in the LG show this year. Are you gonna be there? If so you will have to cruise with me a little bit one night.
