Is why Monte Carlos did not have a center armrest like the Malibu Classics did.

Being a personal luxury car, wouldn't it make sense to have one?

Just a thought...

Good point. I don't know much about Montes, but that's interesting to find out. I always wondered why GM got the bright idea of building a "personal" luxury car that was not quite full sized, but still larger than the midsize Chevelle. I also almost understand the rear seats, but not quite. Lower insurance costs, sure. "Personal" luxury car..... sounds misconceived.

Maybe it had to do with Monte's having the flip bucket swivel seats not in Chevelles.

Chevelles had swivel bucket seats, too.

Not all Montes had them. Most had benches.

Yes, but some had that seat cover that was two sided. Chevelles, far as I know, did not.

In all fairness, my car came with a bench seat.

Lol.

You could still get a Chevelle with swivel bucket seats, is my point. There are not many around, but there are.

Wonder why so much. Aren't the cushions like a two sided pillow? That's just beyond belief that they would cost so much to recover.

Kyle, you must be misreading Chick's posts. She didn't mean regular swivels, she meant those Hurst/Olds ones... which I had never heard of until Bio mentioned them. Anyone got an RPO on those seats? Not listed in my Chevelle books that I can see.
