I considered that the real small blocks ended in 1987. Later SBC engines have zero in common with the earlier ones, from what I've seen......

I didn't think that the 454 and 427 were considered small blocks either and they're adding the 4.3 L to the numbers because they are a similar size, although they're a 6 cylinder. Do they know consider the new Gen 427's for the camaro & corvette small blocks? Must be government involvement "skewing" the numbers like they did with Freddie & Fannie...OH BY THE WAY, BARNEY FRANK WILL NOT SEEK ANOTHER TERM IN CONGRESS! Hallelujah.
