GM Comfortron Climate System
This is pretty cool & interesting. This was available on 73 Chevelle wagons, don't know if it carried over to any more years.

Seen Olds style Comfortrons on '73-'77 Cutlasses...but, never seen Comfortrons on the other GM "A" bodies of that period.

I've not heard of it in any G3, but the service manual doesn't go into any detail on what carlines had it either.

GM Comfortron Climate System
Here's a setup I pulled off a '75 Cutlass Salon 2-dr. The Olds version doesn't have the rotary dial...but, instead has the slide bar across the temp control. Never did get any interest in the heater-a/c box and think I finally just threw it out.

That control head looks like a standard C60 system. there's no Auto position. Olds used temperature callouts on the standard 4 Seasons for a few years, at least on the B-bodies.

Re: GM Comfortron Climate System
The auto position is dictated by the slide bar on the bottom. The smaller flex tube has an air inlet screen that mounts on top of the dash and the air that is circulated down through that is sent down to the box controls/sensor and the temp is regulated. I sold this dash temp control to a guy who needed one for his Cutlass Comfortron.
