Classic car driven into Walmart in Cali
Was that a Buick or Olds? I couldn't tell from the lousy news video. It appeared to be a nicely done mid-70's A-body.

Looks like a Cutlass Supreme to me. Wonder if he's a Member here or on 73-77 Olds?

Re: Classic car driven into Walmart in Cali
I have always wanted to do that ever since they started the self-service checkout. Glad someone finally got it done.
'Would you like to use our self service check-out?' 'No I have a job, thanks.'

Re: Classic car driven into Walmart in Cali
Here is a link that has a few more pictures.
http://abclocal.go.com/kgo/gallery?section=news/local/south_bay&id=9047535&photo=1
The car is a 1974 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme or Salon. Looks like a twin to mine (with the exception of the gigantic rims of course!)
Sounds like the driver took the car and hit a couple of cars in the parking lot, then crashed into the store, then got out and started beating people with a "blunt object." Weird!
This is being discussed in a couple different threads on the 73-77 Olds board.
Watch the police auctions in the San Jose region. You might be able to pick up a nice 74 Cutlass with a little body damage for cheap! Oh yeah, he crashed into a beer display, so it might smell like skunky beer too.

That eventually comes out, but you can kiss the carpet goodbye. Don't ask me how I know.

Re: Classic car driven into Walmart in Cali
I just saw the update on the news, and the one thing ( about the car) that's hard to see in the pic's is the vinyl top is all cracked and split.
