Re: Is it real ?
That would be an interesting project -- to actually build a third one. They give enough details in the accompanying article to do it. Funky turbo plumbing "below" the carb though -- that would probably be the hardest to find.

Got any pics? There are lots online to compare to. No T-tops & a V-8 would also make me very suspicious.
There was a guy @ a local show a couple of years ago that had a pretty decent 75 Malibu. Problem was he had script badges on the car that said "Limited Edition". Same kind of script as the Malibu's had though (maybe from the 80's like from a G body car). I went over just to ask him about the car & he was representing it as a "1 of 50 run" for GM executives- Kinda funny what people will say.

The replicars apparently came with V-8's, although the article said they would come with Hurst T-tops. So the V-8 wouldn't give me doubts so much as the lack of T-tops would.

Re: Is it real ?
i will try and get pics of it this weekend, only spotted it going down the road, it might be a pos when i get up on it lol. from what i can gather you can order them without the t tops or turbo. kinda like the 73 ss, only way to know for sure is the build sheet, as soon as i see the inside of it that will give me more insight.

Re: Is it real ?
Regals didnt get Turbos till 79. That car would have had a wheezer small v8 in it. Get a GN drivetrain for it.

76 Free Spirit/ Pace Car was the Test Mule for the Buick turbo motor and worked very well as matter of fact
