1973 Chevelle tail light gaskets
I have not seen a replacement for the 73 Chevelle taillight rubber gasket that goes between the body and the light. Anybody have a source or a fix for these? They are dried out on every set i have ever seen. Substitutes anyone?

I made a set back in the mid 80's for mine. I used some trunk weatherstrip and a little trunk weatherstrip adhesive. Worked great, sealed nice. There still in my car.

I had 3 sets of tail lights for my 73 car and most gaskets were in the same shape (Not the greatest) I used the best gasket of the three sets. They still leaked. I used strip caulk from the out side and used a Popsicle stick like a putty knife to smooth it out. Then used some adhesive remover and lots of paper towels to get it all even so it looks like its just a gasket and not a caulked up mess. Works fine no leaks as of yet.
