1975 monte carlo yellow tinted headlights?
Anybody else think of doing this? Chevelle or Monte? I have some yellow tint for headlights and was wondering if it would look good or not. Been thinking about it for about a week now. I need more opinions guys!

It must be my age, but I just can stand colored or HID lights but hey- if you like the look, go for it.
I'm thinking of getting those night-time "amber-vision" glasses for glare reduction driving @ night. Sux to get old.

My friend did it on his Buick wagon but its got 4 head lights. Try it if you dont like it it can easily be changed. It looks better on 60's cars though more of a look from that era.

i had the black out covers on my 74 back in 1990.

had them on the 73 for a minute

but i out grew them, and put the chrome half shades on it.

might put the blackouts on for a minute after color change and reassemble.
i agree with ant,the yellow tint looks better on 50-60s cars.

I remember in the 80's alot of guys would put a grey tint on their Cutlass' and Monte's. On the bottom or brights. Looked kinda cool.

Another option is the headlight conversions that take a modern bulb. Â I have these, the have a clear lens with the mirrored back ground. Â mine have "city lights" basically a #194 bulb in the housing the i have wired to keyed power, basically daytime running lights. Â They also have halos but i dont have them hooked up. Â I think you can get lights with the mirrors tinted dark, a more modern "black out" Â I got mine from eBay.

Those black out covers look pretty badass, yea if I don't like it i'll just peel it off.

Here in France all cars had yellow headlights in the sixties and some time in the seventies to eighties, then they changed to white like the rest of the world. I think it was the bulbs that were yellow rather than the lenses on the lights. So that could be an approach also.
