Kansas Speedway Experience
Last night the Family and I got to do something pretty cool to us. The Kansas Speedway gives their season ticket holders a chance to drive their personal vehicles around the speedway for a couple of laps. Now we are not season ticket holders anymore, we were the first few years the track opened but it got to the point where we could spend the money in other places. Anyway, a Lady I work with is a current season ticket holder and gave me her passes for this event. This weekend is the weekend of the ride around so we loaded up in the Monte Carlo and headed out to the track. Keep in mind, we only live about 2 miles from the track so it's almost not leaving the house. Thought I would share some photos with you all.

That is cool. Were there any restrictions on how you drove it?

They had a speed limit of 60-65 mph and no passing.

Awww.... I bet it was still cool though. I would have liked to hit at least a 240 in my Chevelle ya know!

If you ever go again you should get some magnetic number that are old school nascar style and stick em on before you go. would be cool for some pics.

I am thinking calendar pic on this one! Photoshop out the guys in the back and blur the back ground/tires, make it look like that thing is movin!
Had a couple minutes to spare so I had to do it.

I am impressed -- that must be one of them new-fangled driverless race cars
But seriously, that would be an awesome experience!

Re: Kansas Speedway Experience
That is really nice !! Not very many folks get to do that ! And a really great looking Monte you have there too
I had a similar trip around the speedway at Indy some years ago, in a Fiero, during a club meet there. A friend was in that club.
Couldn't believe how steep the banked turns were ! Kinda scary the first time around...
