WoW! The Good Lord wanted to keep him here a while longer. He should say his prayers after he changes his shorts.

That makes me wonder what type of harness he was using....or if he was using just a seat belt !

That guy is dangerous. Based on news reports he knew the belts were not installed right. You can see the helmet was never strapped on and he never lifted when it got out of shape the first 2 or 3 times. People like him give the real racers a bad name because it makes racers look stupid.

The camaro seemed pretty loose also. Isn't there supposed to be a tech inspection to find stuff like improperly installed seat belts?

Re: man goes through windshield & walks away.
It wasn't a sanctioned race, just some people putting on a race at an open area. So it was not probably inspected that well. And usually, the tech inspectors Do not look that closely at things like that. They don't have the time to inspect every nut and bolt in your car. They look to see that you have the belts and assume that if you are willing to race at that speed that you care about your own safety enough to ensure that you did it right. You can't help stupid people. He didn't have the helmet strap fastened either, so to him racing is a joke and not taken seriously. To him the safety stuff is a formality and inconvenience. Do you think I LIKE to wear a 2 layer Nomex jacket and pants, gloves, neck collar, full face helmet, have the roll cage ultrasonically tested for wall thickness every 3 years, have a medical physical done every 2 years, and be painfully strapped in by five 3" belts just to drive the car down the track 1 time at 150 mph? NO I SURE AS HELL DON'T!!!!! But I do it, in case I need that stuff to save my life if something happens.

Agree, also every Sanctioned track is prepped, they may as well ran down the street, would have had the same outcome. Just stupid, more money than brains.
