[I drove Route 66, September 2009. I road tripped at least once a year 2002-2011 to meet people & see family-friends.]

I was reading the other day how many Montes were sold over the Cordoba and T Bird. The sales of the other 2 didnt comprise half of what the Monte sold in I think 1975. GM would love to sell a car with that kind of volume today.

Indeed they would...! Holy cow, can you imagine? But, yes, the MC outsold both of those quite handily, which is partly why the Cordoba had MC cues ... Dodge-Chrysler wanted in on that action. Ironically, a few years later, the Cordoba switched & had Thunderbird-esque cues.
BTW, a chapter of my Route 66-based story posted Sunday. This, from Saturday, could be a scene from that story, with the caption something like:
“Um, sir, you know the train don’t come through here anymore, right!?”

Speaking of Route 66, which would you rather drive along it: 1957 Chevy or 1967 Pontiac?

Anyone like Andrew Llloyd Weber tunes?
